Why they're listed

Scammed hundreds of people out of tens of thousands of dollars (each) promising services to help get Spanish Visas along with many other "white glove" benefits... then she disappeared. Attorneys quit because they weren't paid, employees quit because they weren't paid, Michelle used employee and client data illegally without consent to train AI models for new services advertised on her regularly updated social media. There's some evidence that she and her partner, Paul Eric Nelson, have a major ponzi scheme going. Some victims were left with no more than a consultation before Michelle & Paul fled Spain and ceased all contact. Some made it all the way to Spain but, because of various mistakes or attorney loss, were left unwittingly illegal in a foreign country. Victims run the full gamut of age, race, income bracket, even full families with children and pets. No refunds issued. At least one journalist is currently investigating Michelle, AG reports and many lawsuits are pending.

"Forbes-Featured"

In September of 2026 all mentions of Michelle, Paul, and Lux Nomads were removed from a Forbes article. Despite confirmation on October 2, 2026 that Michelle is aware of this removal, she has yet to take down the "Forbes-Featured" claim from any of her social media profiles, business profiles, or official marketing. There are currently no mentions of Michelle, Paul, or Lux Nomads on any Forbes platform.

Attached are screenshots of the previous version of the article next to the updated article (full article is under paywall thus only relevant screenshotted sections are provided here), screenshots of the her read receipt being notified of removal with timestamp, and screenshots of all known locations where Michelle is continuing to falsely claim "Forbes-featured" with timestamp.

*Additional note: although Michelle was previously mentioned as part of a larger article about travel published by Forbes, there is no such official accolade granted by Forbes titled "Forbes-featured thought leader"; this appears to be an invention of Michelle's.

Commercial Defaults & Predatory Stacking

Throughout 2026, Lux Nomads, LLC entered into a rapid sequence of high-risk Merchant Cash Advances (MCAs) / future receivable sales, engaging in commercial "stacking."

In doing so, Lux Nomads, Paul Eric Nelson, and Michelle Garabito repeatedly pledged 100% of the company's incoming revenues, bank accounts, and merchant card processing receipts to multiple commercial lenders.

MCA contracts shield business owners from personal liability only if business revenues decline naturally. However, stacking and bank tampering constitute bad-faith "carve-outs."
